it’s the same for me! I’ve set an income goal that I feel like I must hit in order to truly be succesful.

I’ve never ever thought about this before, so it’s really eye opening to why I feel the way I feel.

Really, really appreciate you being so honest and sharing this insight with us!

My pleasure buddy! Yea it’s so easy to make turn our goals into our “rules” that must be met in order for us to be happy or feel successful. Thanks for sharing your rule.

  • Steven says:

Great share Johnatan! I agree, it’s very important for a person to be able to separate their Goals vs. their Rules. In my case, yes, I want to make as much revenue as posible from my home business, that’s my goal. Yes I have more specific parameters for that goal but its leads also to my own #1 rule also. That rule encompasses my need to generate enough revenue in order to help off-set the tremendous cost(s) of my disability (M.S.). I like everyone, would enjoy to have all the “toys” (cars, homes etc) in life, but my drive is providing for my wife and family and not haveing my MS disability be a constant/consistent burden upon them.

    • Jonathan Register says:

Appreciate the kind words buddy! Exactly! Sounds like you have an incredibly deep “why” driving you. I think that’s awesome and there’s no doubt you’ll reach your goals if you stick with it! You can do it buddy!

    Thanks for sharing.
Rather, I feel that I am not successful.
Guess it will feel until I achieve my goals.
    Increase my incomes course.

Allow yourself to feel successful with every little goal and milestone you reach (however small it may be). You’ll live a much happier life and enjoy the journey. Thanks for the comment!

I really related to your post. I am really hard on myself too Jonathan. I will set really hard goals, then ramp it up the next round with an even harder one, LOL. Alot of people go wrong in the way they measure success. I think sometimes we measure success in terms of how much money we make! We have lots of little successes in our journeys through life, if we just pay attention to them. Success is really different for everyone, depends on what meaning you give it.

    • Jonathan Register says:

LOVE IT! So so true Holly! I’m guilty as you know of measuring my success by how much I make. Not fun to live that way.

Thanks for the comment and keep us posted on YOUR success! :-)
