PHEW…last night my wife and I had a sleepless night.
Our 5 month old baby Noah cried CONSTANTLY throughout the night (he usually does really well at night at this point…but not last night).
He would cry for about 20 to 30 minutes…he’d take a break for 5 to 10 minutes…and then he’d start back up again.
He went through that cycle up until sometime after 3AM.
Soooooooooo…I feel like a zombie right now! :-)
But last night reminds me of a big lesson I’ve learned as a new parent.
It’s a lesson that has also helped me tremendously when it comes to my online business.
The lesson?
Patience.
Patience when trying something new.
Patience when it comes to getting positive results with X, or Y that I’m doing in my online business.
Here’s a real example.
I started doing a new traffic experiment over 2 weeks with a source of traffic that I had tried in the past.
When I tried this traffic source in the past I was able to generate some leads super cheaply…I even got some sales…but nowhere near enough to even break even.
So eventually my excitement for this traffic source faded…and I quit.
But now I’m back at it.
As of yesterday after almost a full 2 weeks of running my campaign at a loss…I FINALLY am now in the green.
I’m FINALLY at a profit! :-)
So just remember….
Patience.
Patience.
Patience.
Most people quit on themselves right before they are about to have a massive breakthrough. I see it happen all the time. It’s happened to me personally to many times to count in the past.
Don’t be that person. KEEP going. KEEP pushing forward.
