The DNA Results Are In

I think it was last Friday, I was flipping through the channels, and I heard this…

“The DNA results are IN!”

It was the good ole’ wholesome family talk show, The Maury Show (hosted by Maury Povich).

On the show was a couple (who had broken up), and the lady swore up and down that their baby was the guys.

But the guy denied it and swore up and down that it wasn’t his baby. He even went so far to say…

“I don’t want this baby.”

I thought…

“Who watches this stuff?”

So I continue watching… :-), and Maury finally reveals the DNA test results.

The verdict?

The baby was INDEED his.

The audience erupted, and the lady RUNS down the middle of the isle getting high fives from the audience as if she was doing a victory lap.

It was pretty hilarious.

But sad at the same time (for the baby…I can’t imagine what kind of home environment he’s going to grow up in).

The even crazier thing is (well, it’s really not that crazy, I’ll explain why in a moment), is that LOTS of people watch the Maury show.

In fact, for the 2013 to 2014 season the show got an average of 3.0 million daily views!!!!

It’s also ranked as the #1 syndicated talk show among most of the age ranges of women.
In reality, that isn’t crazy, and the stats make total sense.

Why?

Because people LOVE controversy. People LOVE drama (not necessarily living in the drama themselves, but hearing other people’s drama).

SOOO….

The lesson is this.

Don’t be afraid to share some of the “controversial” issues happening in your own life in your blog posts, emails, videos, webinars, etc.

You don’t have to go to the extreme like the Maury show, but if there’s something you’re pissed about, whatever…don’t be afraid to share it.

By doing so, you’ll grab people’s ATTENTION.

And when we grab people’s attention, we can direct that attention towards what we’re selling, and thus get more people to buy.

AKA…more money in your bank account while changing lives with whatever it is that you’re selling.

Make sense?

Getting people’s attention is the first step. The next step is to take them through a “sales process” that moves them to buy.

If you don’t have your own sales process, then check this out. This converts really really well that you can literally use as your own…

Continue here…

Have a kick butt, drama filled day!

… :-) just kidding about the drama part…
