Star Trek Nerd & Dancin Like a Fool!

This weekend my wife and went to see Star Trek! :-)

OKKKK, I’ll admit it.

VulcanWe’re both nerds. I didn’t wear “Vulcan Ears” or dress up for it, but I was SOOO excited to see this movie (been waiting for this one since the last Star Trek movie a couple years ago).

Side Note: My wife and I did see a TRUE Trekkie at the theater. He was dressed up in a Federation uniform. I wanted to snap a pic with him but he ran off before we could catch him.

The movie….was….AWESOME! If you’re at all into Star Trek or movies like that, then you have to see it. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and it was just an incredible movie.

Makes you want to become a space explorer! :-)

Another cool thing happened this weekend.

I generated my FIRST leads, AND…a sale with a new traffic source I’m testing.

I’m still in the red with this campaign, and admittedly the sale was for a free offer.

BUT, what I’m promoting has a killer follow up process in place so the chances of this “free” customer turning to a “paid” customer is really high.

Right now I’m getting on average $0.04 clicks to my website (well, technically it’s views). And the conversion rate for the 1 sale was 33% which is insane.

Plus, it so freakin cool…

When the traffic is on, I can literally just watch my stats and see 100’s of people in real time checking out my site! :-)

I’ve already gotten almost 1,000 highly targeted visitors to my site since Friday.

I still have lots of learning, testing, & tracking to do (obviously), but the potential is ENDLESS with this.

In the coming weeks I’ll be sharing more so stay tuned!

Oh yea…almost forgot! (got carried away and excited with this traffic stuff)

What the heck is the lesson in all of this? (I shared this on our Facebook page, but you not have seen this)

It’s this…

CELEBRATE your successes. No matter how small they may be. Let those little wins DRIVE you to bigger and BIGGER wins!

When I got my first lead from this new traffic source, I was ecstatic!

When I got my first sale with this free offer I was dancing in my living room in front of my wife…

seriously!

Also, be willing to stick things out. What do most people do?

They lose money…they quit. They try something & fail…and they quit.

Don’t be those people. Be willing to do WHATEVER…WHATEVER it takes to succeed.

You can do this. We can do this.

Have an incredible day!

Yours In Dancin Like A Fool,

Jonathan Register

lol…LOVE this post Jonathan! I saw the movie too and loved it. I guess I’m not a true trekkie.

Great advice too, really appreciate it.

HI Johnathan! I cannot say that Star Trek would be my choice of movies, I actually watch very few movies..

But I do agree with you philosophy about celebrating your successes along the way. Whether it a happy dance or a movie, take note of this.

Oh Yeh Winners never quit :) Thanks for sharing Chery :)
